Soapy midday movie shit. Coupla laughs but that's it. The movie made me feel like nothing happened. The story is very thin. Performamces are attractive. The 8yo kid (Ozzy Myers) seems talented but also underused. Direction is good. The mum (Lorraine Ashbourne is Andy Serkis's squeeze BTW) is a film pro. (Watch the eyes... good film actors do it with their eyes.)
ReplyDeleteTBH I watched this to see the new Doctor Who Jodie Whittaker. She plays a grown woman who rides a BMX bike FFS. (Ladies this is very attractive.) It's kinda hard to take for some people but it shows that she's not an 'airs and graces' performer. She's a method actor who goes the extra yard. I'm hoping this means her Doctor will be surpising, sparkly and quirky. ABM rating 1/3
